I like how you said that powder coating is a way to finish to protect whatever you are covering. Thanks for your comment about how it’s an environmentally friendly option as opposed to painting because of the lack of solvents. My husband and I find this article interesting, so we are considering looking into an industrial powder coating for my husband’s project.
It’s cool to learn more about powder coating. The first time I noticed this type of paint was on the metal playground I used to take my kids to. It just seems a lot stronger than normal paint. It’s pretty cool that they use heat to put it on.
It sure got my attention when you said that anything that can withstand the heat of the curing process is a candidate for powder coating, so bicycle frames and other metallic parts can be powder coated. I have heard that powder coating was better than painting, but I didn’t know why until I came across this article.
