Powder Coating for Your Outdoor Decor

With spring just around the corner, we’re all feeling the pressure to get some spring cleaning done. Before you go and throw away a few antique metal pieces, consider upcycling them first!

They say that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, and with a brilliant layer of powder coating, we couldn’t agree more!

Give your yard a spring makeover with these upcycled items.

Patio Furniture

Planning for the perfect backyard BBQ starts with a gorgeous set of patio furniture. Before you spend hundreds of dollars replacing the old set, consider powder coating it with a base coat of your choice and then rub on an antique finish or metallic highlights for a unique look. Finish it with a clear coat and it’s ready for your party!

And if that old metal chair just isn’t suitable for sitting anymore? A little powder coating for a fresh look and a green thumb can turn turn something drab into a beautiful piece of garden art.

Toolboxes

Perhaps you started cleaning out the garage and came across your dad’s old toolbox. You might not be ready to give it up, but that doesn’t mean you can’t give it new life! Transform it with a fresh coat to make it look like new and then go ahead and get gardening!

Bicycles

If your poor old peddle bike has seen better days, there are a few ways you can give it an update! Choose your powder coating color to match a planter full of plants or flowers and create this dazzling yard display.

Maybe your green thumb really isn’t all that green. That’s okay too! These bicycle wheel crafts can give your yard (and home) a gorgeous update, too!

Why choose powder coating?

While traditional outdoor grade paint might seem like the ideal option for giving your metal decorative items a new look, it is far more likely to fade, chip, and get scratched off. Powder coating stands up to heavy wear and tear, so it’s the perfect kind of protection for your Pinterest-worthy yard decor!

  1. I have a metal or iron electric gate and fencing that the paint keeps peeling off of. Could powder coating solve that problem?
